Nicole Lee: Qigong teacher, mentor and devotee
I’m Nicole Lee
Through Qigong, I guide people in building strong vitality and a deeper sense of inner coherence across body, mind and spirit.
From there, change unfolds naturally, shaping how you feel, how you respond and how you move through your life.
Qigong offers a way back to yourself. A practice that develops a sense of unity — building presence, connection and internal stability through returning to the practice over time.
What I share is grounded and accessible. The focus is on integrating the practice into your life in a way that is sustainable, while still respecting the depth it comes from.
If you’re seeking a more embodied and connected way of living, this approach will support you in healing, and evolving into more of your true self.
My Qigong journey
My pathway into Qigong began in 2013, at a time when I was feeling increasingly disconnected from myself and navigating overwhelm.
I grew up in an environment where there was a lot of emotional suppression, anxiety and disconnection, which shaped how I related to myself and the world around me.
As an adult, this showed up as patterns of over-functioning and pushing through, alongside a constant sense of hypervigilance. Even when things appeared steady on the surface, there was an underlying tension that never fully switched off.
Qigong offered something different. It gave me a way to slow down, to reconnect with my body, and to begin understanding what was happening beneath the surface. What began as a personal support became a framework for real change, helping me regulate my nervous system, work with my patterns more consciously, and reconnect with a steadier sense of myself.
This hasn’t been a quick fix or a single turning point. It’s unfolded through years of consistent practice, and it continues to evolve.
This is the same foundation I now share through my teaching. If you’d like to read more about my personal experience and what led me to Qigong, you can explore that here.
My approach to practice
While I’ve trained in both Modern and Classical systems, what I share isn’t about collecting forms or adhering to a single lineage. It’s about understanding the principles that sit underneath the movements, and learning how to work with them in ways that are practical and meaningful.
Forms are used as tools, not end points. The focus is on developing awareness, building internal connection, and cultivating energy in a way that supports your life, rather than sitting separate from it.
This approach has been shaped through over a decade of consistent study, practice and teaching, alongside guidance from teachers including Wang Zhi Peng, Lee Holden, Damo Mitchell and Marissa Newell.
My broader background includes training in meditation, mindfulness, energy healing and craniosacral therapy, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Complementary Medicine. I also maintain professional membership with Wushu Tai Chi Qigong Australia and the International Institute of Complementary Therapists.
How I work with people
I primarily share Qigong through my Mentorship programs, along with in-person workshops and immersions.
These spaces are designed to support a more integrated approach to practice, where there’s time to build a foundation, develop presence and allow the work to unfold.
Rather than approaching Qigong as something to learn quickly or move through, the focus is on consistency, depth and developing a practice that becomes part of your everyday life.
Whether you’re new to Qigong or looking to deepen an existing practice, the intention remains the same — to support you in building something that is steady, sustainable and supportive.
If you’re new to Qigong and want to understand what the practice really involves, you can explore that here.
