Dao of the Heart — Emotional Alchemy & Embodied Spirit

Dao of the Heart — a path of deep emotional awareness, inner alignment, and heart-based cultivation.

Ready to move past old patterns and reconnect with what’s real inside?

Dao of the Heart is a fully online, self-directed program rooted in Shen Gong. Across five integrated modules, you’ll explore Qigong movement, breath, stillness, and contemplative self-inquiry — guiding you to access the Heart-mind not as a concept, but as a felt, embodied presence.

Rather than trying to fix or bypass your emotions, this path invites you to meet them with clarity and compassion — softening reactivity, stabilising the Shen, and reconnecting with the deeper, grounded reality beneath the noise.

This is a journey for those ready to step into a more emotionally attuned, spiritually aligned way of being — at your own pace, wherever you are.

What is Shen Gong?

  • Shen Gong is a lesser-known stream of Daoist tradition. It is the skill of the Self — essentially knowing and developing who you are.

  • Shen Gong is the bridge between Qigong and Neigong — in essence its the way, or Dao of the heart.

  • The practices of Shen Gong combine Qigong form and movements with breathwork, meditation and reflective, contemplative study.

  • Together, this creates a deeply connective mind-body practice, which can evolve consciousness and transform your life.

  • Shen Gong practices help us to balance our emotions, mind and spirit, and the flow of those energies within.

A glance into the program:

This is a fully self-directed program that allows you to move through the five modules at your own pace, from wherever you are.

For students who want additional guidance, the Dao Mentorship — a 9-month, 1:1 online program — is open to all, offering personal support, accountability and deeper integration of the material.

What’s included in the self-study pathway:

  • Access to Modules 14, 15, 16, 26, and 27 — each exploring different aspects of Shen Gong practice, philosophy, and the skills needed to guide others.

Explore the program content…

  • In this module, you’ll explore essential Daoist principles such as Xin, Xing, Yuan Shen, and Ming, while engaging in foundational practices like Balancing the Three Treasures and Divine Tranquility.

  • The Eight Extraordinary Vessels are unique energy pathways that influence the deeper, often unconscious layers of our being. In Qigong, working with these vessels offers us a way to tap into our first ancestory and early developmental energies. In this module, you’ll explore the pathway of the Grandthoroughfare, along with practices Zhongmai Gong, Three Treasures Harmonic and Daoist Pore Breathing.

  • This practice explores the interplay of the Five Spirits, Five Poisons, Five Thieves, and Five Beauties—revealing how they shape your perception, energy, and consciousness. In this module, you’ll explore these precepts, along with practices Zhongmai Gong, Three Treasures Harmonic and Daoist Pore Breathing.

  • A seated, esoteric energy cultivation practice rooted in ancient Daoist and Chinese shamanic traditions. This module explores how to circulate and stabilise energy through inner alignment with the Dao.

  • A flowing, heart-mind-centered form that goes beyond physical movement, guiding you into deep emotional clarity, Heart presence, and conscious transformation.

ABOUT YOUR TEACHER

I’m Nicole Lee – I teach and mentor individuals in Qigong, Shen Gong, and Daoist Meditation helping them develop life-nurturing practices.

Qigong enhances the body's energy flow, while Shen Gong addresses the psyche's energy to resolve emotional experiences and symptoms of imbalance.

Throughout my journey as a Qigong teacher and mentor, I've repeatedly seen these gentle practices profoundly transform lives — physically, mentally, and emotionally. Working with people to help them evolve, expand and uncover more of their true self is a part of my work that really lights me up.
