Foundations Plus Qigong Teacher Training
Foundations Plus — Online Qigong Teacher Training & Certification
For practitioners ready to deepen their practice and develop the skill, clarity and integrity required to teach.
This nine-month Qigong Teacher Training incorporates self-directed study supported by monthly one-on-one mentorship with Nicole Lee, ensuring your learning becomes embodied and lived — not simply a program.
You will choose a dedicated pathway to guide the direction of your study:
Integrated Pathway — a comprehensive, all-round approach to Qigong, Qi development, Shen Gong and Neigong
Five Element Pathway — a focused exploration of the Five Element system as a framework for practice and understanding
Classical Pathway — a deeper immersion into classical Qigong forms and traditional foundations
Dao of the Heart Pathway - centred in the stream of Shen Gong and cultivation of heart-mind.

Integrated Pathway
Grounded in fundamentals & integrated practice
A comprehensive, all-round approach to Qigong, Qi development, Shen Gong and Neigong.
This pathway is suited to those who want a broad yet grounded foundation across multiple dimensions of practice. It supports the development of internal awareness, energetic capacity and confident facilitation.
Five Element Pathway
Guided by Five Element theory, cycles and energetic expression
A focused exploration of the Five Element system as a framework for practice and understanding.
This pathway is suited to those drawn to the Five Element model as a lens for understanding patterns within the body, mind and energetic system.
Classical Pathway
Grounded in classical forms and traditional foundations
This pathway is suited to those who want to engage with Qigong through a more traditional framework.
You will work with classical forms such as Eight Sections of Brocade and Five Animal Frolics, using them to deepen your practice, refine your movement and align with foundational principles, while developing internal consistency and integrity over time.
Dao of the Heart Pathway
GROUNDED IN SHEN GONG AND CULTIVATION OF THE HEARTMIND
This pathway is suited to those who want to engage with Qigong as a way of understanding the Self, while developing emotional awareness and authentic presence.
You will work with practices drawn from Shen Gong, integrating movement, breath, stillness and self-inquiry to deepen self-understanding, support emotional balance and cultivate embodied awareness over time.
How your study is supported
Regardless of your chosen pathway, your development is shaped through the integration of self-directed study and ongoing mentorship. Consistent practice and reflection are what build real skill, understanding and embodied knowledge.
Mentorship does not replace this process — it refines it.
This training is supported through monthly one-on-one sessions with Nicole Lee, offering personalised guidance, feedback and direction as your practice evolves.
This approach is suited to those who:
Value tailored support and honest feedback
Want to focus on what is most relevant to their practice and development
Are willing to take responsibility for their learning and refinement
These sessions support the translation of your self-directed study into embodied skill, clarity and confidence, so your practice and teaching feel authentic and aligned.
Your progress will always be determined by the consistency of your own practice. Mentorship provides guidance, structure and refinement — but it cannot do the work for you. The depth of your development is shaped by your willingness to engage, reflect and apply what you are learning over time.
You can begin at any time. Your training starts from enrolment and unfolds over nine months.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need prior experience to join the foundations plus training?
No, but you do need a genuine commitment to regular practice and self-study.
What’s the difference between 1:1 mentorship and small group mentorship?
1:1 mentorship is personalised, giving guidance tailored to your pace, focus, and learning style. Small group mentorship blends live sessions, peer learning, and embedded individual feedback. In both pathways, self-study is the foundation — mentorship amplifies your practice, it doesn’t replace it.
How long does the training take?
Each program runs over nine months, but your growth depends on consistent self-study and practice. This timeframe ensures you have space to integrate what you learn fully.
How much time each week will I need to dedicate to study?
That depends on your pace, but consistent self-study is essential. For most students, dedicating 3–5 hours per week to practice, review, and reflection allows you to integrate the material fully and gain real depth. Mentorship sessions guide and refine your learning, but the growth comes from your own committed practice.
How is the training structured?
This training is self-directed and supported through ongoing one-on-one mentorship. You’ll choose a dedicated pathway — Integrated, Five Element or Classical, which guides the direction of your study through a curated selection of modules, practices and principles. There are foundational modules that form the core of the training. From there, your chosen pathway shapes how your practice deepens and evolves.
Do I need to complete all modules to be certified?
No. For the 60-hour Qigong Teacher Training certification, specific foundational modules and assessment criteria need to be completed. Your pathway then supports how you continue to deepen your practice beyond this, if you choose to go further.
Will I be ready to teach after completing the training?
This pathway equips you with the knowledge, skill, and confidence to share Qigong authentically, but teaching is a continual practice. True mastery grows over time through ongoing reflection, self-study, and refinement.
What is the role of mentorship?
Mentorship provides guidance, feedback and refinement — but it doesn’t replace your practice. Your development comes from consistent engagement with the work. Mentorship helps you see what you can’t see on your own, refine your expression and deepen your understanding over time.
Is this training suitable for beginners?
This training is suited to those who are ready to take responsibility for their practice. You don’t need to be advanced, but you do need to be willing to show up consistently, reflect on your practice and apply what you’re learning.
Do I need to want to teach?
No. Some people complete this training to teach, others to deepen their own practice. The level of engagement and responsibility is the same either way.
How much time should I commit?
This training is self-directed, but it isn’t casual. Your progress will come down to the consistency of your practice. Most people benefit from regular weekly practice alongside their study and mentorship sessions. If you are working toward accreditation, a minimum of around 5 hours per week is recommended to support steady progress and integration.
What’s the difference between the pathways?
Each pathway offers a different way of working with and understanding Qigong:
Integrated — a broad, all-round approach across multiple aspects of practice
Five Element — structured through Five Element theory and cyclical relationships
Classical — grounded in traditional forms and foundational principles
All pathways share the same core fundamental aspects, but differ in how your practice develops beyond that.
Can I continue beyond 60-hour certification?
Yes. There are expanded accreditation pathways (200–500 hours) available if you want to continue deepening your study. This is optional and can be done over time.
