The Wellspring

As spring approaches, do you feel ready to grow — or do you feel exhausted?

Nature is preparing to bloom, yet many of us arrive at the cusp of spring carrying more fatigue than vitality. In a world that encourages us to keep pushing, producing and overriding ourselves, we've forgotten life was never meant to be lived at the same pace all year round.

In Daoism, every season has its purpose. Winter is the season that restores, replenishes and prepares the ground for new growth.

The Wellspring is a one-day immersion into Nurturing Longevity Qigong and the Daoist practice of Yang Sheng Fa—an invitation to return to the conditions that nourish life, so we can enter spring feeling rooted rather than depleted.

A Different Relationship with Life

Modern life doesn't just ask us to keep going. It teaches us to override ourselves. Over time, that becomes so familiar that we mistake it for normal. We push through fatigue, disconnect from the signals of our bodies, and continue living as though every season asks the same of us.

Daoism is, at its heart, the study of nature and the study of ourselves. It invites us into a different relationship with life—one that honours the rhythms of the natural world rather than continually working against them.

Throughout the day, we'll explore the Daoist practice of Yang Sheng Fa — the cultivation of a way of living that nurtures life. Together, we'll explore what it means to move from overriding ourselves to restoring relationship with our bodies, with the seasons, and with the practices that help us live in greater harmony with both.

At the heart of the workshop is the Nurturing Longevity Qigong form, an embodied expression of these principles. Through movement, philosophy and practice, The Wellspring offers an opportunity to replenish what has been depleted and cultivate the conditions from which vitality naturally arises.

Is this for you?

This workshop is for anyone who feels the pull to step out of the pace of modern life and reconnect with a way of living that feels more natural, more sustainable, and more deeply nourishing.

Whether you've been practising Qigong for years or are relatively new to the path, if you're curious about the Daoist philosophy of nurturing life and want to explore a different relationship with yourself, your practice and the changing seasons, you'll feel at home here.

You don't need to arrive feeling energised or "ready." You only need a willingness to pause, to listen, and to explore what becomes possible when we stop overriding ourselves and begin cultivating the conditions that allow life to flourish.
