Nurturing Longevity Qigong - Live Online

A short live online practice series

Nurturing Longevity Qigong is a Classical-style Qigong practice for nurturing and safeguarding Qi, with a particular focus on longevity and the cultivation of vitality.

Rooted in alchemy and flow, the practice offers a way to turn towards the body, work with Qi and develop greater familiarity with the experience of cultivation.

Over nine live online sessions, we’ll practise our way through the sequence of forms together. This is a short, focused period of practice, with the intention of developing a relationship with the forms, becoming more familiar with their qualities and noticing what you experience as you practise.

How the live program unfolds

Over 11 days, we’ll meet for nine guided live online practice sessions, each approximately 30 minutes in duration.

We’ll practise across five consecutive days, take two days away from the live sessions, then return for a further four days of practice.

Across the nine sessions, we’ll work through the sequence of Nurturing Longevity Qigong forms together. The repeated practice gives you an opportunity to become familiar with the forms, their qualities and the experience of practising them over time.

The intention is not to rush through the sequence or continually introduce new material. It’s to return to the forms, practise them repeatedly and allow your relationship with the practice to develop through familiarity and direct experience.

The rhythm of the program

Is this for you?

This series is for anyone who would find benefit and enjoyment in a focused period of Qigong practice.

If you’re new to Qigong, it’s an opportunity to experience Nurturing Longevity Qigong and learn the forms for your own practice.

This series may also be a good fit if your practice has become a little scattered and you’re looking for a period of returning. You don’t need to be starting from scratch. Sometimes having a defined period of practice is enough to reconnect with something you already know.

There’s no expectation that you’ll achieve a particular outcome over these nine sessions. The invitation is simply to practise, return to the forms and see what becomes clearer through familiarity and repetition.
